WTF! Firefox gets you fired?!

Now, this is definitely the first! And can somebody please explain why things like this only happen in the US? (No, I am not complaining, did it sound like that?)

Thats friggin amazing!

No one was fired. A student was told to close a computer program that the teacher either didn’t know about, wasn’t familiar with (did the student install it onto the computer without the school’s permission??), or was not authorized for a variety of reasons. When using a computer that is not your own, you are subject to the rules of the person or entity which owns that computer, whether it is a school, a governmental entity, an employer, or a friend.

The student was issued “detention”, which means the student was punished by having to sit in an assigned room for a pre-determined amount of time.

But Dave isn’t that outrageous?
